Tax season is upon us and there are always new tax laws and intricacies for small businesses to be aware of. During this important session, we'll talk about standard accounting and tax requirements to keep in mind along with changes to be aware of, particularly with the impact of COVID-19 programs and policies. Topics that will be covered will include:

• Employee Retention Credit
• PPP 1st and 2nd draws
• Meals for 2021 and 2022
• When to convert from sole proprietor/LLC to S Corp election

Ruth Osborne is a Marine Corps veteran and Partner at Abacus Accounting. Ruth has both her Bachelor and Master degrees in Accounting. She specializes in business taxes, financial strategic planning, budgets, Nexus sales, and accounting. She lives and works in the Orlando area and has additionally been an avid community advocate for veterans, with a focus on women veterans.

Zachary Kamish CPA is the President and CEO of Kamish & Associates CPA Firm located in Riverview, Florida. Zachary has been licensed in the State of Florida since July of 2012. He specializes in accounting and taxes for business owners/independent contractors plus helps high-income earners keep their hard-working dollars away from the IRS.  Zachary is currently on the Board of Directors at the non-profit ECHO of Brandon, and he is the former treasurer of the Valrico Fishhawk Chamber of Commerce. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys attending Tampa Bay Lightning games with his family. In his free time, Zachary enjoys family adventures with his wife Amy and two sons Jacob and Ethan.
