FAVOB Virtual Power Hour - Small Business Loans

Access to capital is one of the constant difficulties facing small businesses. Banks and the U.S. Small Business Administration are just some of the many options available to small businesses. During this Virtual Power Hour, our panel of experts will discuss types of loans, the process for getting a loan, and provide the perspective of the lender.

Steve Fulmer has been in banking for 13 years with a focus on small business, commercial and SBA lending at Citizens Bank of Florida. Born and raised in Brevard County, he later served five years in the Army  as an Airborne Cryptologic Linguist. Steve has extensive volunteer experience on a variety of Boards for veteran and business nonprofits, to include: Oviedo-Winter Springs Regional Chamber of CommerceCREW Orlando (Commercial Real Estate Women’s network)Veterans Entrepreneurship Initiative, and FAVOB. He has a MBA from the University of Phoenix and will graduate this year from Graduate Banking School at Louisiana State University. He was recently recognized by the Orlando Business Journal as part of both the 2021 40 Under 40 and 2021 Veterans of Influence lists. He lives in Orlando and is married with two boys.

Lonnie Koyama is the Lead Outreach & Marketing Specialist for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in South Florida. He has been with the SBA for eleven years. His duties involve fostering economic development with business organizations. In addition, he counsels businesses and connects them to resources to help them start and grow. Prior to the work with the Federal government, Lonnie had a long private sector career that includes extensive management and supervisory experience with several national retailers over an area encompassing several western states. Lonnie also had a career in restaurant management and ownership. His restaurant, El Amigo in Golden, Colorado is still open 36 years after Lonnie and his partners opened it. He also served four years in the United States Marine Corps where he was honorably discharged.

Obed Saget joined PNC in 2007 and currently serves as Vice President, Business Banking Sales Manager with a focus on the Greater Orlando and Volusia/Flagler markets. His passion is and always will be to help small business clients, wherever they are in their life cycle. The focus is often centered around process efficiencies, access to credit, and leveraging technology. Obed is a recipient of The Circle of Excellence, PNC's top achievement award. He is an economics graduate of Florida State University and has a Masters in Leadership Management from Northwood University. In his spare time, Obed coaches young kids through sports self-confidence and work ethic.
