Did you know that next week is National Veterans Small Business Week?!?

Each year the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) celebrates, connects, and empowers service members, veterans, National Guard and Reserve members, and military spouses during National Veterans Small Business Week (NVSBW). This year marks the seventh annual NVSBW.

This year’s theme is #VetBiz Resources in Your Local Community which highlights the breadth of free to low-cost entrepreneurial resources that veteran and military entrepreneurs can access right in their neighborhood – from seeking business counseling services from a local SCORE chapter, to visiting the Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) in their area for help formulating a business plan.

Join SBA district offices, resource partners, and other organizations as we celebrate the veteran- and military-owned small business community.

This class covers the programs and services the Small Business Administration (SBA) offers to veterans to help start and grow a business. Although the SBA is usually associated with loans, this overview will run through the SBA Loan Programs as well as our other programs and services including Counseling, Export Assistance, Government Contracting, SuretyBonds, and Disaster Assistance. Some of these services are for all businesses, while others are specifically for veterans.

     About the SBA

The SBA helps Americans start, build and grow businesses. Through an extensive network of field offices and partnerships with public and private organizations, SBA delivers its services to people throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, the U. S. Virgin Islands and Guam.  Follow SBA on Twitter and like SBA on Facebook to learn about new developments and news of the U.S. Small Business Administration.

In the final quarter of this most unusual and challenging year, there is still time to take actions that can favorably impact your bottom line and your tax bill for 2020. These measures relate to your employees, your customers, your equipment, and your operations and reflect big changes made by the SECURE Act, the CARES Act, the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, and other legislation (including extension of the Paycheck Protection Program), as well IRS pronouncements. Whether you work with a CPA or go it alone, attorney and prolific author Barbara Weltman will discuss which tax breaks apply to you and how to nail them down now before times runs out.

    In this webinar you'll learn:

    • Year-end actions to reduce your 2020 tax bill
    • Refund opportunities to recoup taxes paid in prior years
    • Strategies for potential tax changes to come
    • Necessary actions to get ready for 2021

We have been pushing the CEO Mindset course offered by JULO Strategy for a full year now. Along with the great results being achieved by it's graduates, veteran business owners and CEOs (or other executive roles) in Florida can attend the Phase 1 at no-cost thanks to a grant provided by Veterans Florida. A dozen or more FAVOB members have gone through the program and we've gained members out of it as well thanks to our partnership with JULO Strategy to facilitate getting more veterans into the class.

If you can give three hours every Wednesday evening for six weeks (plus some homework in between), then we highly recommend that you participate in this CEO Mindset course. This is really a rather easy way for business owners to invest in themselves. Please take a hard look at this right now and jump on it if you are tired of being your best/only employee, doing too much on your own, or not seeing the needed growth in revenue. Don't keep thinking that you are too busy to do CEO Mindset. The reason you are too busy is because your business is running you instead of you running your business. Learn to ADE yourself - Automate, Delegate, and Eliminate.

Our next CEO Mindset™ course is right around the corner! Seats are filling up fast! You must apply for this cohort and the deadline is OCTOBER 28th! Reserve your seat before they are gone! https://lnkd.in/dD5zdXR

    DATES:

    Wednesdays Nov 4th through Dec 9th, 2020 5:30 pm-8:30 pm

    Wednesdays Jan 6th through Feb 10th, 2021 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Have more questions? Please reach out to Beth Zimmer at beth@julostrategy.com!
